Ryers Family Farms LLC Barn / Windblown Block

RYERS FAMILY FARMS LLC BARN
2135 Bradford Rd.
Reese, MI 48757
Block: Windblown

Traveling down M-138 just 10 miles east of Munger, home of the Potato Festival and 4 miles west of Fairgrove,
home of the Michigan Bean Festival, you can catch a view of our family farm just a quarter mile north
of M-138 on Bradford Rd.

The farm is owned and operated by the Ryers family for over 50 years. The shed was built in 1985.
During construction a wind storm destroyed the building and it had to be reconstructed.

We are a cash crop farm and over the years have planted and harvested such crops as potatoes,
sugar beets, navy beans, soybeans, wheat and corn.

In 2012 we became part of the Tuscola Bay Wind LLC I and II project, which is why we chose "windblown"
for our quilt block.
