KESTER FARM
4337 Birch Run Rd.
Millington, MI 48746
Block: Cross and Crown
The Kester barn was built in 1898 from ash trees on the farm. My grandfather,
Albert Kester, bought the farm in 1920. My dad, Cleon Kester, milked cows in it
until 1958, and my son, William Kester, uses it daily to house sheep and lambs.
The barn used to be a drive-through, but in 1945 it was remodeled extensively
to a state-of-the-art milking barn featuring James Way and McCormick equipment.
We chose this quilt block because of our faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are here to serve him and not ourselves. We are to be ambassadors of
Christ and tell the world of His beloved grace.
The barn is located 5/8 mile east of M-15 on the south side of the road.
