This farm came into the Hooper family in 1900. Orville is the fourth generation on
the farm. Orville is retired after 42 years in the dairy industry. Grade A milk shipped with Michigan Milk.

The barn was built in 1894. The foundation is field stones off the land.
The barn overlooks Indian Creek. 

Orville's mother was a lady who took great pride in making and quilting quilts. 
The dresden plate was one of the patterns she enjoyed making. In her later years
there was always a quilt on a barrel hoop on the go. 

This barn is five miles east of Deckerville. Travel on Deckerville Rd. until you get to Goetz Rd.
Turn north on Goetz Rd. and go 3 1/2 miles. The barn is on the right hand side of the road.
